Title: To Be Loved by The Prince
Author:[info]ayumi_haruno

Pairings:Sasuke x Sakura
Genre: General/Romance

Ratings: M

Summary:

Sakura’s situation: Lady Sakura of the Sand City is desperate to regain some important documents that could destroy her… so desperate she agreed to pretend to be the “mistress” of notorious gambling gaming club-owner Sasuke Uchiha slash prince of Konoha to accompany him to a scandalous house party where she can reclaim them. But when she agreed to let Sasuke coach her on how a true mistress behaves, she never suspected how very… persuasive his wicked lessons could be.

Sasuke’s situation: Sasuke is secretly determined to find the letters himself and use them for revenge against his noble brother who rejected him. He’s also delighted at how very successful his “mistress lesson” is: It won’t be long before the luscious young widow is in his bed or when love comes in, he faces a difficult choice:  to wreak the vengeance he’s planned all his life, or to protect the woman he may… to his own astonishment--need more than revenge.

Scene One:The abhorred scheme
Scene Two: The furtive oration

The Voice of GAY AMERICA!

As some of you have heard, I’ve been out of work for — well, Hell, is it over a year and change, now? It has. Pretty sucky to admit, but that’s life. Regardless, it’s so. And this even after going back to school and getting my papers that say, “Hey, this Alexander Williams asshole, he’s certified in radio and TV broadcast technology and methodology; hire his white ass!”

In nearly those words, too. Who else could win both Class Clown and Most Likely to Become an Instructor?

But I digress.

Of late, I’ve taken to hitting RadioDaddy for an hour or so before bed, responding to from five to ten requests for dry VOs (Voice Overs) and the occasional, rare, produced liner. (Why are produced liners rarer? Because once I start tinkering and assembling, those things eat most of an hour for 30sec …) Some of the ones I put out fall into a big black abyss and I never hear back, some folks say thank you with rep, the on-site ranking medium, and a very few send me the final, produced work.

Now, the other morning, I was working on some things that ran from a Country Music station in Nevada to an Internet radio station doing a live show from a bar in Birmingham, UK. I don’t discriminate, I just start at the top of the most recent requests and roll down as I go until my allotted time for recording is up. Boom.

So, of course, this is the one that was received enthusiastically, produced (by someone else) and will be used:

TraxOnline.com does the Gay Pride Parade, Voiced By the Evil SquidLord

I am the voice of gay America on Commonwealth Internet radio.

Disturbingly, I think I’m proud.

FOR SALE: O'Neill-Jackson '08 swag (and more)
Last year, many of you saw me and my sister walking around wearing O'Neill-Jackson '08 shirts and were interested in getting your own. We're not just offering t-shirts anymore! Make sure to get your O'Neill-Jackson '08 campaign swag, either for con or for the hell of it.

And because I'm hoping to raise some money to help defray the cost of D*C -- which is probably excessively optimistic on my part, since currently I'm bringing in just enough to cover the cost of having a premium shop -- here are some other fun products my fellow con-goers might be interested in, under the cut. )

Dealer room in year 2000
This is a very specific question, and I don't expect anyone to have the answer, but...

Way back in 2000 I attended my first DragonCon, and I stumbled across a treasure in the dealer room. If I remember right, the seller mainly stocked books, but my treasure was a piece of art (I can only assume it was the original art, because I doubt prints have ever been made from this) from the cover of one of my favorite books: The Best of Cordwainer Smith.  I was a poor college student at the time, and I don't remember the exact price tag, but it was ridiculously out of my budget. Cordwainer Smith is a reletivly obscure artist, so just seeing this was amazing, and it has haunted me ever since. Does anyone know who might have been selling it or what may have become of it?

Dark Tower costumes?
Hey -- throwing this out here to find out if anyone else would be interested in doing Dark Tower costumes.

Some of my friends are putting together a general Stephen King group, but so far I'm the only DT person -- I'm planning on a Jake Chambers outfit -- and I'd really like to see anyone else from either ka-tet, or the books in general! I know there's got to be plenty of people out there who have read the series, so help me out, if it do ya.

Obviously, I'd love to see the rest of Jake's ka-tet, especially Roland (I think I saw one a couple years ago...), but it would be pretty awesome to see Cuthbert, Alain, etc, and any other characters you'd like to portray. (Several people should get together and do Blaine; it'd be epic.)

I don't know about doing anything for the parade -- I've never done it before, and I'm not sure how I'd cope with that -- but if anyone's interested in general, drop a comment and we'll have us a palaver.

Another n00b Question
I know that there have been millions of these "I'm new" Posts, but I do have a specific Question.   I tend to plan things very far in Advance, so I have my Hotel room (in an overflow hotel, but whatever) but I am curious to know when Track Information typically  becomes available.  I'm especially intersted in the Whedontrack (because Joss is God), but I'd like to see what else is out there.  Also, I've never been to a con with authors, and while I've been told that they do not typically charge for Autographs, what do they Sign?  I'm willing to, but I would rather not have to carry a library in my backpack, ya know what I mean?

Thanks in advance for the Info, and I can't wait to see y'all in August!  Squee!

Rides to Dragoncon
We are offering rides from Austin to Atlanta (probably via Dallas). Please let us know if you'd like to join us. Details below:

We are going to rent a large van and trailer for the drive to Dragoncon this year. There should lots of room for costumes in the trailer. We  expect to leave Austin on  Thursday morning and depart Atlanta Monday morning. We can pick people up in anywhere between Austin and Dallas. The cost will be $150 roundtrip (possibly less depending on gas prices). Let me know if you're interested.

Parking??
Hi everyone!  My boyfriend and I will be attending Dragon*Con for the second time this year.  Last year we flew, but this year we will be driving.  We have a room at the Marriott and I know they offer parking, but it's rather expensive and we're afraid it will be a huge hassle at checkout on Monday morning.

Does anyone know of any better options for parking close by?  Or have you parked via Marriott and checked out on Monday?

Thanks and I can't wait to see all of you at DC!

Philadelphians?
Okay, I just want a shout out, just how many people are coming from the Philly area? (Cause there's ~8 in my little group) Most of us are flying though.

I'm going to be buying and reading this cuter-than-cute and most adorable looking 7 volume manga series published by Del Rey Manga very soon and was just wondering what it's like from those of you out there who have already read it? :)

I'll appreciate all opinions and feedback given, be it positive or negative :)

oooooh my!
Well hello there one and all - a Dragon*Con first timer here speaking to you today. Yes, yes myself and 4 companions are Dragon*Con virgins. :) Three of us have decided to make it an adventure and are road tripping it from just outside of Philadelphia, PA.

Anyway, I think I'm getting a pretty good feel of what to expect (though I'm expecting the actual event to blow these expectations out of the water). However I do have a few questions.

What I'm wondering here is what should we make it a point not to miss? We're all avid fandom people (multiple scifi shows and crime dramas are our base) and one's into space.

What should we plan on budgeting? Ok I mean amount wise in US currency (good lord I can just imagine the responses I might get if I didn't clarify that). ;)

Does anyone have a number of how many people actually attend Dragon*Con? The feel I'm getting is it's massive. But I'd like to get an idea of just how massive this is as the largest convention I've ever attended was in around 1,000 people give or take a 100.

Hi There!!
My husband and I have a room at the Sheraton. Unfortunately, we couldn't get them at the con rate since they were all booked up. So what I guess I'm asking is that if for any reason someone has to give up their con rate room, we'd be interested. I'm not picky about which of the three hotels it is, and either a Thurs-Mon or a Fri-Mon would be fine since we're driving in and can be there either day.  Thanks.

what to do in costume?
I've been to Dragon*Con four times now. I usually stick to panels and events, but this year, I want to finally give some costumes a try. When I've attended panels, though, I almost never see anyone in costume. What do folks usually do when they're dressed up? Wander about aimlessly? Stay in one spot and pose all day? Go to panels I'm not at?
